About Barahona Location Los Patos Beach Los Patos Beach
and the coast of Enriquillo with La Chorrera spa.
Along the Barahona-Enriquillo highway there is a beach that offers a truly unique coastal view: Los Patos Beach.
Because of its depth and the strength of its waves, it is not advisable for everybody to swim there, although it is a beautiful natural spa that was formed at the mouth of the river Los Patos; short in length with clean, crystalline and very cold water, perfect for the warm tropical climate. The different food stalls along the sandy beach with Creole food, a discotheque and vendors selling typical products give it a traditional Dominican atmosphere, full of life and Creole flavor, especially during the week ends. In addition, it has parking facilities with car park attendants.

On the same highway, one kilometer before arriving at Enriquillo, we ran into the Enriquillo Chorrera. Equipped with restrooms and food stalls, this small fresh water swimming pool has become the delight of all visitors.
